About the Role:
- Patient-Centered Care: As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in monitoring patient physiological responses to therapy, ensuring the safe and effective administration of respiratory treatments. You’ll consult with physicians if adverse reactions occur, contributing to comprehensive patient care.
- Critical Team Player: You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to manage patient care, assisting with medical procedures and ensuring patients receive the care they need.
- Expertise in Respiratory Equipment: Your role involves setting up and operating devices such as mechanical ventilators, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators, following specific treatment parameters.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to provide emergency care, including external cardiac massage, artificial respiration, and assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
- A minimum of 1 year of (Adult) experience is required.
- Associate’s RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or equivalent is required, and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NCRRT certifications are required.
