NP – Nurse Practitioner
blueStone Healthcare Solutions has partnered with a premier Urology Group in Tucson, Arizona for a Full-Time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. This specialty facility offers Urologic Surgery, Telehealth, and Diagnostic Testing.
What You’ll be Doing:
Conduct physical exams, evaluate medical history, assess health status, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and treat illnesses, including giving injections.
Consults with physicians as needed and refers to physicians for more complicated medical cases or cases that are not a routine part of an NP/PA’s scope of work.
Triage patient calls and evaluates patient problems.
Coordination and management of patients receiving chemotherapy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in physician assistant studies required. Certification required as a Physician Assistant granted by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required.
Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Arizona required.
Valid DEA drug license and Arizona controlled substance license required.
Additional Information:
2 years experience as a physician assistant
Certification in Urological Procedures (i.e., cystoscopy) preferred
